In this work, an attempt has been made to study dielectric properties of CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics. For this, CaCu3Ti4O12 was prepared by a modified solid state reaction method. The dielectric constant (ε') and dielectric loss (tan δ = ε''/ε') were measured within the frequency range from 102 Hz to 106 Hz and the temperature ranging from 30°C to 300°C using HP 4192A LF Impedance Analyzer. The results showed that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the sample are frequency... Topics: CaCu3Ti4O12, dielectric constant (ε') dielectric loss (tan δ = ε''/ε')

Polypyrrole is a well known conducting polymer whose electrical properties have been studied deeply. Amongst the various ways of polymerizing Pyrrole chemical route was chosen for the present study. Ferric chloride was chosen as an oxidizing agent. Cadmium was found to be an appropriate dopant. Cadmium belongs to group IIB with atomic number 48 having electronic configuration [Kr] 4d10 5s2. An expected substitution of Cd with Nitrogen of Pyrrole would leave a single electron with Cd after bond... Thermally stimulated Depolarization Current (TSDC) technique is one of the most well known techniques used for the study of molecular motions in a polymer by considering the relaxation processes taking place inside the system. This paper describes the TSDC studies of bio-magneto-electrets of L- Serine. The processes that are taking place during TSDC are similar but opposite to that during magneto electret formation. Therefore the forming parameters will be having a great effect on TSDC spectra.... Topics: Magneto electrets, TSDC, biopolymers, amino acid, L- serine, dielectric materials

The high spectral resolutions of the Chandra and XMM-Newton X-ray observatories have unveiled the useful diagnostic possibilities of oxygen K absorption. To mention a few, strong O VII and O VIII edges are almost ubiquitous in the spectra of Seyfert 1 galaxies which have been used by Lee et al. (2001) to predict of a warm dust absorber along the line of sight; although this conclusion has been criticized in the light of a data reanalysis (SA0 et al. 2003), Steenbrugge et al. (2003) have... Ion conducting glasses 30 Li2O: (70-X) B2O3): X Al2O3 have been prepared over wide range composition (x = 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 mole %). The mixed former effect on lithium ion transport due to addition of Al2O3 in series of Lithium borate glasses have been investigated. The electrical conductivity and dielectric relaxation of these glasses was analyzed using Aligent LCR analyzer in frequency range (1Hz – 1MHz) at different temperature (323k – 623k). The decrease in conductivity with the... Topics: Electrical Conductivity, Dielectric Constants, Relaxation Frequency, Mixed Former Effect
Dielectric analysis was performed on pristine and azo-dye doped PMMA with different doping levels. The temperature and frequency dependences of dielectric permittivity (ε'), dissipation factor (tan δ) and Ac conductivity(σAC) are studied in the frequency range 100 Hz -100 kHz in temperature range 30-120 oC. It is noticed that the values of ε' decreases with increasing frequency and reach to a nearly constant value at high frequency. On the other hand the dependence of ε' on the temperature... The present study reports the dielectric behavior of unusual H-Shaped liquid crystal dimer named Bis[5-(4’-ndodecyloxybenzoyloxy)-2-(4”-chlorophenylazo)phenyl]butylethers (12-Cl-H4). The observations suggest that relaxation mode observed in MHz region follows the Cole-Cole theory for the given sample. Various dielectric parameters such as relaxation frequency, relaxation strength, dielectric permittivity, activation energy have been evaluated. The dielectric behavior of the... In this study, a multi-band FM-CW ground-based scatterometer is used to measure the backscattering coefficient of bare soil surface. Combined with the neural network (NN) and the advanced integrated equation model (AIEM), it inverses all the soil parameters, including dielectric constant, root mean square (RMS) height and correlation length. According to different data sources, the NN can be constituted as different input-output mapping mode. The NN is trained by using theoretical data that are...
